About Membership

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. (NCBW) is a non-profit organization that advocates on behalf of Black women and girls. Since 1970, our members have worked, through advocacy, as change agents to influence policy that promotes gender equity in Health, Education, and Economic Empowerment.

To Deliver and Sustain Transformational Programing as part of its strategic plan.

Identify Targets

Chapters identify target group(s) to serve for each fiscal year and a target community of focus.

Chapters’ processes, planned activities, proposed program budget, and implementation are always in line with Goal #1.

Programmatic Focus

All chapter members are assigned to a program initiative and are aware of the fiscal year’s programmatic focus.

LEADERSHIP DVELOPMENT TRAINING

NCBW100 LEAD Academy

The NCBW100 LEAD Academy is a 13-month mission-driven leadership development program for eligible NCBW Members.  It is a venue where NCBW members who represent the next generation of organization leaders are appropriately trained for their roles.  NCBW wants future leaders to possess a wide variety of skills so they will be successful in leadership positions both personally and professionally.

Admission to the LEAD Academy is highly competitive and is limited to 14 participants per class.  The next application period will open in summer 2024 for Class IV (2024 – 2025).
